WHERE IS STOGURSEY?

Stogursey is a little known, (but extremely interesting!!) village nestled between the Quantocks and the Sea.

At only 12 miles from Somerset`s county town of Taunton and only 9 miles from Bridgwater your shopping needs are well catered for.

If shopping is your thing, then Clarks village at Street is well worth the trip of 20miles with its factory outlets offering some great savings.

By way of local amenities, Stogursey has its own village Pub, where you can relax and enjoy a good meal.
Day to day requirements are well catered for by the local Grocery Store, Post Office and Newsagent.

Stogursey boasts a fine selection of historical buildings - all within easy walking distance of Hope Cottage. Such as;

An 11th Century Church, known as the 'Catherderal of the Quantocks'.

Stogursey Castle - here you will find the remains of a 12th Century Castle complete with moat, built by William de Courcy.
